Aj was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at the age of 9 (August 2019). He underwent

chemotherapy for 9 months, which included a knee replacement—since they cut out the bone

where his cancer was growing. We pretty much lived in the hospital for those 9 months. When

he got his chemo, he would get so sick that we would have to stay in the hospital so the doctor’s

could control his symptoms with the stronger drugs we weren’t allowed to go home with. He

finished treatment in March of 2020. It was a rough rollercoaster ride for all of us as a family. We

also prayed A LOT. We are so grateful for the oncology team at Park Ridge, they truly have so

much empathy and patience. We consider them to be like family.
